Cyberport Incubation Programme

Cyberport Incubation Programme, including the Cyberport Incubation Programme for Smart Living Start-ups, supports entrepreneurs and start-ups with resources that aim to accelerate their growth.

Incubatees get up to HK$500,000 and HK$200,000 on-site rental subsidy, financial assistance, professional advice and strong networks to accelerate their business growth over 24 months.

On top of Cyberport Incubation programme, Cyberport provides a comprehensive platform to foster success for digital tech entrepreneurs.

Cyberport supports the Hong Kong Government's commitment to promoting smart city development through the use of technology to improve citizens' daily lives. We believe that collaboration with the technology sector and start-ups is essential to encourage the examination, exploration, and introduction of smart living solutions# and services that are closely related to people's daily lives. With the innovative mindset and ideas, start-ups can offer more practical and effective smart living solutions to benefit the community.



Programme benefit

The following support is available to successful applicants:

  • Up to HK$500,000 financial assistance including:
    • HK$100,000 Initial Working Capital Grant
    • Up to HK$200,000 grant to be allocated upon completion of Six-monthly Progress Reviews
      • Stage 1: HK$50,000
      • Stage 2: HK$50,000
      • Stage 4 : HK$100,000*
    • Up to HK$200,000 for Performance-driven 2-Tiered Assessment, covering the areas of:
      • Business Performance
      • Accumulated Investment Raised
      • Industrial Recognition
      • Overseas or Mainland China Expansion
      • Talents Development
      • Cyberport Engagement
  • Rent-free working space (only for incubatees who chose to work on-site at Cyberport)
  • Free use of Cyberport shared meeting rooms, conference rooms, co-working spaces and other facilities
  • Meetings with entrepreneurs and investors, and networking opportunities

#Note: The digital technology solutions in Smart Living cluster include those related to people’s daily living such as e-commerce, education, environment, property management, medical and health, building and accommodation, retail, food, mobility, business and manufacturing, support for elderly, and persons with disabilities, etc.


*Note: Audited Financial Statements/ Agreed-Upon Procedures Report should be submitted upon graduation to show expenses on Eligible Items during incubation period should be not less than HK$400,000. Eligible Items include the costs of:
(i) Equipment and Service Expenses at the Technology Centre or other Service Providers;
(ii) Training and Marketing Activities;
(iii) Promotion & Marketing Expenses;
(iv) Professional Service;
(v) Staffing; and
(vi) Business Operation Expenses.
