Combining social networking, philanthropy and crowdfunding, Somien (pronounced sô mî en), is the world’s first Social Micro-Endowment platform that connects 1) donors who want to help entrepreneurs in developing countries, 2) business consultants looking for work experience and 3) entrepreneurs who want the opportunity to help themselves. The primary goal of Somien is to help break the poverty cycle by using ICT to connect the above three groups.    Over the next three to six months, we will develop a minimum viable product (MVP), validate the customer problem and need and verify the business model.
