LOCPG director visited Cyberport to exchange with start-ups on local I&T outlook

As part of a visit series to southern local community on 30 September, Luo Huining, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (LOCPG), made at stop at Cyberport and met with 4 Cyberport start-ups to seek their inputs for advancing the local I&T talent and industry, as well as impart words of encouragement to the young entrepreneurs.
Director Luo spoke to the enterprising innovators behind Roborn, maker of smart robots; MatrixSense, developer of the 3D floating imaging system, naked-eye 3D; FundingReach, a FinTech company providing risk mitigation solutions, and AQUMON, a digital investment app developer.
Among other things, these start-ups shared their goal of capturing growth opportunities in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), and the need for added measures to efficiently facilitate talent integration in the future.
Acknowledging their thoughts and praising their achievements, Director Luo remarked how the next generation of I&T talent has become the “promise of our times”, in their capacity to create and harness new technological fields.
Director Luo further shared that more opportunities await promising innovators, especially with the national “14th Five-Year Plan” indicating clear support for Hong Kong's development into an international I&T hub. He also acknowledged the excellent support and services being provided by Cyberport to the youth, and expressed his hope for Hong Kong to attract and nurture more I&T talent.
The Cyberport community is honoured to have spent a quality time with Director Luo, and look forward to continuously cultivating I&T talent pool, and fostering the city’s overall development through integration programmes in the GBA.
