Bizibuz reshapes the education ecosystem with machine learning and algorithmic processes ⋯⋯⋯⋯ Cyberport start-up Bizibuz is set to make parents’ management of their children’s extracurricular activities more convenient and hassle-free. Bringing more than 30,000 high-quality courses online, it utilises advanced algorithm for making optimised insights regarding kids’ after-school activities while providing real-time digital assistance to parents, from booking to confirmation of these activities.
What’s more, the platform’s KnowYourChild™ tools are designed not only to deliver tailored activity recommendations for kids, but also track the impact of those activities on the child’s development, thereby guiding parents on their child’s proficiencies and learning milestones. These AI-enabled tools have been developed in collaboration with the Education University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as well as senior teachers from leading institutions such as the Chinese International School and Canadian International School. It is the first all-in-one learning platform in Hong Kong to automate enrollment, scheduling, and payment of kids’ after-school activities.
Founded in 2020 by ex‐Goldman Sachs executives Cristy Almeida and Terence Lai, Bizibuz began a year ago as a Cyberport Smart-Space tenant. It has since received support from the AWS Edstart program and the Founders Institute, and is also a recipient of a Cyberport Creative Micro Fund grant.
Almeida recognises Cyberport’s role in the company’s success, citing the mentors, business and university introductions, professional service clinics, and funding assistance offered by Cyberport. Poised for more growth, her company has recently announced a slew of new strategic partnerships with Asia’s leading educators including Kids’ Gallery, PhD Scientists, ActiveKids, Curiosity Kids, Mini Mandarins, Linguabox, La Liga Football Schools, Seed Music, the French Teachers Association and the Spanish Cultural Association of HK.
