With the booming start-up ecosystem in Hong Kong, Cyberport is committed to promoting industry exchange. As the designated supporting partner in Hong Kong, Cyberport recently participated in the "Expand North Star Dubai Roadshow in Hong Kong" hosted by Expand North Star and Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, supported by StartmeupHK, to share insights with startup leaders around the world. Mr Suboor Ahmed, Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Operations of Tappy Technologies, also shared his experience in expanding business in the UAE and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
Eight Hong Kong startups were shortlisted for this competition, with six of them from the Cyberport Community, including FCC ANALYTICS, Asiabots Limited, YAS Micro Insurance, NFT Investment and Venture Ltd, UPDOOT Media and DOTTED. RegTech solution provider FCC ANALYTICS was crowned the champion of the HK roadshow competition. A free exhibiting start-up pod and a guaranteed pitch slot at the Semi-Finals of the Supernova Challenge 2023 pitch competition will be granted to them during the Expand North Star at GITEX Global in Dubai.
Cyberport will continue to support the development of startups in the future to showcase Hong Kong's I&T capabilities on the international stage.
