Cyberport hosts world-renowned World Summit Award Grand Jury and Conference |
Cyberport is pleased to co-host with Internet
Professional Association the World Summit Award (WSA) Grand Jury, a global
initiative designed to bridge the digital divide and narrow the content gap, by
selecting and promoting the world’s best e-content and most innovative ICT
applications.
The WSA comprises a collective of national and international contests aimed at
selecting the most creative content and innovative applications in the field.
The Award was launched in 2003 as part of a means to further the United Nations’
agenda in developing the information society, and use ICT to support the UN’s
Millennium Development goals, which include ending poverty, hunger, disease,
discrimination against women, saving the environment and providing education
access for all.
Cyberport’s hosting of the WSA Grand Jury 2011 between April 8 and 13 will draw
together over 30 international leaders in e-content and innovative technology
from all around the globe.
The judges hail from every corner of the world from sector professionals and
university professors to heads of ICT related institutes and industry
representatives from the governments of more than 30 countries ranging from
Austria to the United Arab Emirates.
What’s more, there will also be a unique morning conference:
"WSA
World Cafe I: Revolutionizing with Technology and Creating Harmony with Content"
on April 8 at Cyberport for industry professionals to network, discuss and draw
inspiration from the world’s top leaders in e-content, new media, networking,
e-business, mobile applications and e-government.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to be inspired by the world’s industry
leaders!
