Startups Connect series focuses on building up web infrastructure performance |
Cyberport's Entrepreneurship Centre, formerly known
as the Cyberport IncuTrain Centre, is launching another impactful networking
event on April 15 as part of its Startups Connect initiative.
Themed "Startups Connect: Effective Handling of Web Interactive Traffic!! Grow
your Business, not your infrastructure!", the talk will discuss how industry
professionals can speed up the performance of their web infrastructure to meet
the specific requirements of increasingly dynamic generated content in a cost
effective manner.
Speakers include Winson Kam, Senior Account Development Executive at Akamai
Technologies Hong Kong Limited, who will speak about how to effectively deliver
data over the web, in particular, in cases of dynamic content, HD video
streaming and larger file sizes. Mr. Kam, an industry veteran, has extensive
experience working in the areas of web application, performance monitoring,
business process monitoring, and more recently, web application acceleration
over the internet and cloud computing.
Alvin Law, Technical Director of Emagist Entertainment Limited, an incubatee of
Cyberport's Entrepreneurship Centre, will share his experience of application
development on the internet, the problems and solutions.
