Fantastic response to first ever GD-HK ICT Young Entrepreneur Programme |
The first ever Guangdong Hong Kong ICT Young
Entrepreneur Programme has received overwhelming response with over 300
participants signing up from 23 tertiary institutions in Hong Kong and
Guangdong.
Twenty four teams were formed and submitted their proposals which covered areas
of mobile applications and games, share and search platforms and social
networking sites.
In particular, mobile applications included customers buying and managing
cosmetics information and mainland tourists sharing useful travel tips about
Hong Kong.
Other platforms allowed users to search, track and share information on
activities and events, manage and share knowledge and maximize the impact of
digital social activities. There is also a film production social network for
amateurs and professional filmmakers to find partners, raise funds and secure
resources for film projects.
"The fantastic response reflects the vibrant digital ICT industry and the
entrepreneur spirit that is well and alive in the region," said Herman Lam, CEO
of Cyberport.
Cyberport has made it its mission to nurture entrepreneurship and promote the
development of the ICT industry.
