District summer
carnival features spectacular performances and celebrates youth scheme |
Come and let down your hair at the Cyberport Fun Day on 1 September where a
spectacular lineup of performances and game booths will keep the family happy
all day long!
Youth performances will feature everything from hip hop to ballet, Thai boxing
to rope skipping and freestyle soccer. There will also be over ten game booths
offering fun and games including art jamming, XBOX 360, Henna tattoo, balloon
twisting, mega building bricks, buoy wrestling, suitable for kids of every age. The fun day encourages young people to take part in sports and meaningful
activities before the summer ends.
The day will also celebrate the inauguration of the first Southern District
Youth Cadet programme. The scheme, comprised of youth from form three and above,
aims to broaden teenagers' mindsets by exposing them to different facets of
society and helps them get in touch with the daily lives and culture of various
social communities.
