Singapore social networking platform buys incubatee alumni

Alumni incubatee alivenotdead.com was recently acquired by Singapore based Mig33, a mobile social networking platform.

Founded in 2007 by a group of Hong Kong artists, Alivenotdead is a web based portal which connects artists with fans through content and forums. Prominent artists on the network include Vanness Wu, Jet Li, Nicholas Tse and Karen Mok.

Mig33 is a mobile social networking platform offering networking, games and private chat features.  Tapping into Alivenotdead's database of 1,800 artists will help Mig33 fast track its growth strategy of giving artists and celebrities verified accounts as a means of drawing users to the service.

"This is a remarkable achievement for Alivenotdead.com.  It is fantastic that Cyberport was, in part, able to support the early growth and development of the company through its incubatee programme.  We wish them every success for the future," said Herman Lam, CEO of Cyberport.
