Cyberport welcomes Liberty Asia

Cyberport is delighted to welcome Liberty Asia to the digital hub.  In drawing on the powers of technology, the NGO aims to expand efforts in fighting human trafficking.

Their projects include applying cutting edge technology solutions in creative ways to a low tech field by working closely with the private sector.

Examples of the NGO's initiatives include creating a cloud based universal victim intake form & data analysis management system, using IVR to communicate with migrant populations and building a secure ECM platform for investigative bodies.

Cyberport also recently supported a seminar with Liberty Asia in which tenants at the digital hub came together to brainstorm ways in which technology can be used to fight slavery in Asia which currently affects around 21 million individuals worldwide.

"We have already started to form collaborations with great Cyberport freelancers and companies who are generous and eager to help us fight slavery.  We chose Cyberport because of the great community it offers with a wider variety of interesting companies, people and events that inspire our work and develop our understanding of the latest movement in technology, interaction and design," said Xinyi Duan, Data and Technology Lead of Liberty Asia.

"We are pleased Liberty Asia has joined our community.  We look forward to supporting them in using technology to fulfill a unique and meaningful endeavour, one close to Cyberport's own heart, that of enhancing lives and the community at large," said Mark Clift, COO of Cyberport.
