Existing and planned measures on the promotion of racial equality

Cyberport is an innovative digital community with over 1,650 start-ups and technology companies. It is managed by Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, which is wholly owned by the Hong Kong SAR Government. With a vision to be the hub for digital technology thereby creating a new economic driver for Hong Kong, Cyberport is committed to nurturing a vibrant tech ecosystem by cultivating talent, promoting entrepreneurship among youth, supporting start-ups on their growth journey, fostering industry development by promoting strategic collaboration with local and international partners, and integrating new and traditional economies by accelerating digital transformation in the public and private sectors.




Services Concerned

  • Organising events, training and incubation programmes to nurture digital tech talents

  • Providing funding and other services including co-working space and market outreach support to start-ups and entrepreneurs

  • Organising events and activities to foster the digital transformation of enterprises and industry development




Existing Measures

  • Cyberport’s corporate information and programmes are published on its official website in bilingual form (English and Chinese) for the general public

  • Cyberport’s enquiry and complaints handling services are available in both written and spoken Chinese and English

  • Cyberport’s programmes and events are delivered in English and/or Chinese where applicable

  • Regular trainings are organised with Equal Opportunities Commission for all staff to strengthen their understanding on the Ordinances about Equal Opportunities and legal liability for the unlawful acts

  • Terms of equal employment opportunities are incorporated in the “Code of Conduct and Business Ethics” for all staff




Assessment of Future Work

  • Cyberport reviews its services from time to time and will make improvement where necessary, having regard to feedback/ suggestions from its staff and members of the public




Additional Measures Taken/To Be Taken

  • Training to staff would be strengthened in collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Commission and other relevant organisations as appropriate
